What is the process behind these leather playing card cases?

This design is uniquely crafted by us using a single piece of leather, no stitching required. We source only the finest materials from a local leather producer here in Romania, and every step of the process is done by hand in our studio. We carefully trim, shape, and wet mold each case to ensure it keeps its form over time. Once molded, we finish the edges with natural beeswax and stamp our logo into the leather for a signature touch. Finally, we punch the holes, add the metallic rivet screws and just like that, your new leather playing card case is ready to do its job and protect your poker deck!

The leather we use.

We buy our leather from a local producer, ropel.ro. Here’s what we have in store for you right now:

• The Black Velvet. A 2mm thick, chrome tanned cow leather. This one has a velour finish, a special type of leather because it is worked by sanding the grain side of the skin. It involves a different process from the suede which takes the inner part from the leather, therefore the velour implies greater production costs. Beautiful and classy, very resistant to scratches, very pleasant to the touch. This is our bestseller.
• The Ferrari Red. A 2mm thick, chrome tanned cow leather. This one has a matte nappa finish, which gives it superior quality, softness, and luxurious feel.
• The Vintage Brown. A 2mm thick, chrome tanned calf leather. This version receives a special velour finish right here in our studio, where we carefully sand down the grain of the leather to achieve a soft, vintage texture. It’s one of our favorites, probably because we put extra care into giving it that timeless, well-loved feel. The result is a piece that’s beautiful to the eye, smooth to the touch, and rich with the distinct aroma of genuine leather even more pronounced thanks to our sanding process.

How we pack the leather playing card case for shipping.

We carefully wrap each leather case in black paper to provide a first layer of protection. Then, we tie it with a red ribbon so it’s instantly gift-ready and saves you the extra wrapping time! To keep your case safe from impact and pressure during shipping, we add protective layers suited to the package size. We’re also committed to sustainability, so we use recyclable materials whenever possible.
